To send outreach from your own email address, you connect your email account over SMTP. This means your campaigns come from you - building trust and keeping replies in your inbox. Leadiy stores your SMTP password encrypted at rest and only uses it to send your campaigns. This is the most important setup step before you run a campaign, so we cover every supported provider in detail.
Open SMTP settings
In your dashboard, open Settings and find the Email / SMTP section, then click Configure. A dynamic form appears that adapts to whichever provider you choose.
You can also skip this during setup and come back later - but you'll need it connected before a campaign can send.
Pick your provider
Select your email service from the dropdown. Leadiy supports Gmail / Google Workspace, Outlook / Microsoft 365, Zoho Mail, Brevo (Sendinblue), SendGrid, Amazon SES, ZeptoMail, and a Custom option for anything else.
Choosing a provider auto-fills the correct host, port and encryption, and shows help written specifically for that service - so you're never guessing settings.
Gmail, Outlook & Zoho (app passwords)
Gmail / Google Workspace: turn on 2-Step Verification, then create an App Password at myaccount.google.com/apppasswords and paste that 16-character password here - not your normal login password. Host smtp.gmail.com, port 587.
Outlook / Microsoft 365: if you use MFA, create an app password in your Microsoft account security settings. Host smtp-mail.outlook.com, port 587.
Zoho Mail: generate an app password under Zoho Mail → Settings → Security → App Passwords. Host smtp.zoho.com, port 465 (SSL).
Tip: App passwords let Leadiy send without ever touching your real account password.
Brevo, SendGrid, SES & ZeptoMail (API keys)
Brevo: find your SMTP login and master key under Brevo → SMTP & API → SMTP. Host smtp-relay.brevo.com, port 587.
SendGrid: the username is literally the word "apikey", and the password is your SendGrid API key. Host smtp.sendgrid.net, port 587.
Amazon SES: create SMTP credentials in the SES console (these are different from your AWS access keys) and set the host to your SES region. ZeptoMail: username is "emailapikey", password is your Send Mail token.
Custom / other servers
Choose Custom for any other provider. Enter the SMTP host, port and login your service gave you. Use port 465 with SSL/TLS enabled, or port 587 with STARTTLS - your provider's docs will say which.
Send a test
Click Send test. Leadiy connects to your provider and sends a real test message to your own address. A green success means everything's working; a clear error tells you exactly what to fix (wrong password, blocked port, or 2FA not set up).
Don't skip this - testing now saves a failed campaign later.
Note: If the test fails on Gmail/Outlook, it's almost always because you used your login password instead of an app password.
Save and you're ready to send
Hit Save. Your credentials are encrypted and stored, and Campaign Center can now send from your address. You can update or re-test these settings any time from the same screen.
You're done 🎉
That's the full walkthrough. Open Leadiy and try it yourself - or watch the demo above again any time.
